Crisis

Disaster has struck

buildings in ruins

people dying

by the thousands they go

families, without homes, struggle to stay alive under the heat of the sun

without water, without food

without medicine

not enough doctors, not enough resources

so much rubble to remove

so much that needs to be rebuilt

so many that need to be healed

so little that's being done.


Yet this not breaking news;

this is everyday,

all around us.

The world is in Crisis,

but only when we hear a BOOM do we turn our heads.
